Anyone who covers longer distances and sometimes sails through a night needs well-functioning sea berths. If you want to stretch out on the go and don't want to roll out of your bunk, you need a leeward sail. For this purpose we modified the backrests of the saloon bunks. The padded boards are removable and are inserted into U-shaped wooden holders. We have attached a second set of brackets to the front edge of the bunk. The backrests, with the upholstery turned inwards, can be used as leeward sails. The conversion only requires one movement. The backrest is also simply built by yourself, and if you are still thinking about such a retrofit, you can also plan the double function as a lee sail. Thanks to the double use of the backrest, weight is saved. So nothing stands in the way of driving at night.
