From Lübeck it went over to the Wismar Bay for four days. The area is small, but offers a lot of variety from the tranquil fishing port in an idyllic location to sheltered anchorages and touristic marinas to the lively city. Each destination is a highlight in its own way.

The pilot boat, a lifeboat and some fishing cutters are in the small harbor. The sector light of the striking lighthouse shows the way to Wismar. With south-westerly winds it can get uncomfortable here because of swells. The steep bank begins south of the harbor and the beach to the north
Some places, such as Timmendorf auf Poel, are worth the trip in and of themselves. However, many sailors from the Bay of Lübeck and Kühlungsborn also know this; that's why it can get tight there in summer. Then the yachts lie in packages between fishing trawlers or outside on the dolphins of the boxes of the small pilot and fishing port. If it gets too full, there are also sheltered anchorages. The good thing: The water is so clear that you can see where you drop your anchor.

Southeast of Boltenhagen there is a wonderful anchorage at the campsite. The water is very clear, so you can easily find a patch of sand in the middle of the seagrass on which the anchor can be dropped. A good place to stay overnight in westerly winds
