After the success of the ClubSwan 50, the introduction of the innovative ClubSwan 36 and the approaching completion of the record-breaking ClubSwan 125, the shipyard has announced the next stage of development in the ambitious one-class program in the hands of the Italian Ferragamo family. Vice President Enrico Chieffi: "We want to introduce a new concept into the world of maxi yachts and revive the active participation of the owners. For this we have created the new ClubSwan 80 and brought together the best minds in the yachting industry." These include the Argentine Juan Kouyoumdjian, who is already responsible for the design of the previous ClubSwan models, the structure specialist Giovanni Belgrano and the Naut team for interior design.

Noteworthy: The racer, made entirely of carbon, is not produced by Nautor in Finland, but, like the 36er, externally, in this case by Persico. The Italian composite specialists are among the five leading high-end manufacturers in the world and, thanks to the production of the one-size-fits-all for the Volvo Ocean Race (Volvo Ocean Racer 65), have great expertise in the construction of precisely uniform, low-tolerance yachts.
Like the ClubSwan 36, the ClubSwan 80 will have semicircular foils to increase stability and a canting keel. Further features are the strongly inclined and far aft, flexible carbon rig, double rudders, the retractable gennaker boom, retractable shaft system and a system with which the spacer sheet sails can be retrieved into the ship in a few seconds through the forward hatch like on a dinghy with a trumpet.
The ClubSwan 80 should be controlled by the owner and revive the idea of "gentlemen sport", which Swan is already trying to embody with the ClubSwan 50. The 80s will be suitable for short up and downs as well as coastal courses and long distances. The boats should be present at international regattas as well as specially created events and integrated into the brand's extensive and self-organized regatta calendar. The new boat is set to debut with three units in the Maxi Rolex Cup in 2022. As Nautor announced, the ClubSwan 80 is not over yet, a 60plus foot is already being planned.
