Boris Herrmann was the first German to take part in the Vendée Globe in 2020: alone and non-stop around the world in over 80 days. He also inspired non-sailors and gave the spectators an impressive and thrilling race on the oceans with a dramatic finale.
In over 80 days at sea in the toughest solo regatt in the world as well as countless training nautical miles in the run-up to the Vendée Globe, many fantastic photos were taken that capture the stresses of the race, but also touching moments.
