After the postponement and ultimately even cancellation of boot Düsseldorf 2021, Delius Klasing Verlag would like to offer book and water sports enthusiasts a program during the original trade fair date from 23 to 31 January.
A wide variety of multimedia content will be made available on a new website and on the publisher's social media channels over the coming week, which should also provide access to sailing topics, advice and entertainment at home in lockdown. Under the title "Rescue BOAT", a small compensation for the lack of trade fair presence is to be created.
Book novelties and reading samples
Leafing through the latest sailing books, rummaging through stories, meeting the authors in person - unfortunately, all of that will disappear with the fair. However, all of the book novelties that would actually have been presented at the Delius Klasing or YACHT booth at boot Düsseldorf can now be found online in compressed form with reading samples, links to author podcasts or YouTube readings.
Among them are Wilfried Erdmann's new book "Ich bin auf See", the North Atlantic illustrated book by Arved Fuchs, the bizarre adventure "Sailing with a Chicken" as well as numerous new practical books that can help sailing beginners in their hobby.
Advice and expertise
As at the fair, experts answer questions about driving license training and the appropriate books for it, as well as about the range of paper and digital nautical charts. The consultation takes place as a zoom conference. Dates and links will be published on the site, as will the link for the lecture "Night Sailing" on Monday evening, January 25th.
Growing offer
During the week, the site will be expanded to include more and more content, including offers, competitions and bargains.
