The number of corona cases in France has been rising again for two weeks, most recently there were almost 4,700 cases per day. Similar to Croatia or Germany, however, the increase is concentrated in two regions, the greater Paris area and the Mediterranean coast, more precisely the Côte d'Azur.

And just like in Croatia, the Federal Foreign Office has now reacted with a travel warning for the regions. For crews sailing on the Cote d'Azur, this means that they have to do a corona test on their return or go into a 14-day quarantine. At the moment, however, politicians are also discussing abolishing the free corona test after returning from a risk area and replacing it with a general 14-day quarantine. Anyone planning a trip should therefore keep an eye on the development. The same applies if crews have booked a viParis flight or are changing there. Or the crews can do a test at their own expense.
A third sailing area in Europe now hits the travel warning, after Spain's mainland coast and the Balearic Islands as well as two provinces in Croatia have been affected by something from Vodice to Hvar. It is again important for crews that the travel warning is not a travel ban, so the charter company can provide its rental service on site. In addition, rental and not travel rights apply in the yacht charter, so free cancellations are almost never possible. At most, customers can hope to agree to a postponement of the travel date. However, the willingness of many fleet operators to take such steps is already noticeably decreasing in view of the renewed problems.
