Martin Finkbeiner, born in 1984 in Schwabmünchen and grew up in Pitzling near Landsberg am Lech, has already worked on Lake Constance (sailing school Ludwigshafen / AS-Yachting) and Kiel (Supersail). Later he started his own business with the company-sails.

Five years have passed since his first circumnavigation of the world from 2010 to 2013 - high time for him to embark on a new journey. This time with Mrs. Friederike, born in 1993, born in Sigmaringen and raised in Hahnennest near Pfullendorf.
After school, Friederike Finkbeiner completed an apprenticeship as a bespoke tailor and fashion designer at the Sigmaringen fashion school. She has been working as a designer at Marinepool in Munich since 2017 and is responsible for technical clothing such as oilskins and wetsuits, among other things.
The two plan to travel for several years on their "Aracanga", which is only nine meters long. "The boat is a little smaller than on the last trip, but the running costs are much lower. We like to forego the luxury of a larger boat in favor of a longer sailing time", says Martin Finkbeiner.
