Sketch of the Moody DS 41
The new DS 41 rounds off the Moody program, which stands for special deckhouse yachts, at the bottom. The space concept is unique in the world of series yachts: the cockpit floor is recessed opposite the deck and is on the same level as the deckhouse. The two steering positions are raised on deck, and the seating area in the saloon is also on a higher level, so that the crew can enjoy the all-round view equally while sitting and standing. In addition, a steering seat and drive lever can be accommodated in the saloon, which turns the Moody into a year-round boat. Pantry and navigation system are also in the salon; The owner's cabin with a separate bathroom and a guest cabin with an optional second wet cell are located below deck. The rest of the ship is reserved for storage space and technology.
The deck is also special. The raised bulwark reaches knee-high, and instead of railing wire, a pipe runs as a handrail on the railing supports. You can safely walk around the entire superstructure and get from the stern to the bow without leaving the deck or climbing over a coaming. Helmsman seats, a large tailgate with storage space in front and a partially fixed bimini are further special features.
