Sketch of the Sarch S6
The hull is made of plywood and covered with a lot of carbon fiber, the deck is made of GRP sandwich. Not only the construction of the Spanish shipyard Sarch is idiosyncratic, but also their boat concepts. After the much-acclaimed debut, the small cruiser Sarch S7 (test in YACHT 19/19), the boat builders in Pego near Alicante now have a smaller Sarch S6 at the start, which, despite a hull length of just under six meters, offers an extremely large variety of possible uses lays. The small boat is ideal as a regatta-suitable racer, an uncomplicated daysailer or a trailer-compatible hiking boat with a swivel keel and a ready-to-sail weight of only 450 kilograms.
The detailed test report of the particularly versatile Sarch S6 is available in YACHT, issue no. 6/2020. The booklet is available in the DK shop, or you can download the test directly from the link below
