Plan drawing of the Hallberg-Rassy 40C
It was undoubtedly one of the really big stars at the trade fair in Düsseldorf: the new 40C from Hallberg-Rassy. After the models 44, 57 and 340 she is now the fourth ship of the new HR generation, which is characterized by wider stern, double rudder blades and a long integrated bowsprit. However, these are only externals. Important development steps are also hidden in the many exciting details.
In the exclusive YACHT test, which took place before Christmas, the new girl from Ellös fully met expectations. That means: convincing performance in a lot of wind and high waves, high safety and a lot of protection for the crew on deck as well as perfect handling thanks to high-quality equipment and well thought-out layout.
The detailed test report is available for reading in YACHT, issue no. 3/2020. The booklet is available in the DK shop, or you can download the test directly from the link below
