Michele Molino designed the new Tofinou 9.7, and he is taking over the legacy of Michel Joubert (Joubert / Nivelt), who was previously responsible for all constructions of the independent Tofinou line. The new design is intended to preserve the typical look of the distinctive brand, but at the same time the concept is to be supplemented with a whole host of new and innovative design features. Compared to the previous model Tofinou 9.5, the lines of the new boat have become significantly wider, especially at the stern, which particularly shapes the look. The focus of the construction is of course on the good sailing properties, which the smart French woman was able to impressively demonstrate in the YACHT test.
In addition, the independent concept can shine with a remarkable diversity. The yacht builders in LRochelle are offering no less than three keel variants for their new Tofinou 9.7. In addition to the standard fixed keel, variants with a telescopic lifting keel or swivel keel are possible. One or two rudder blades can be combined, depending on your wishes and preferences.
The Latitude 46 shipyard plans to present the smart daysailer as a novelty at the boot trade fair in Düsseldorf in January 2020. The YACHT test editorial team has already put the first ship from the series production started to the test.
