With a new owner and managing director, the yacht builders from RM Yachts in LRochelle now want to get started on the market and have converted and expanded their production for this purpose. The new RM 1180 is currently the focus of interest. The French have come up with some exciting innovations for the boat. As the most important change to the previous tried and tested RM concept, the hulls are now only partially made of plywood; the side flanks of the multi-chine are now made of GRP. The very special, almost radical shape of the construction by Mark Lombard with the freeboard, which is strongly retracted towards the deck, made this step necessary. The bulkheads, the hull reinforcements and the entire interior are still made of plywood.
In the YACHT test, the RM 1180 shows a considerable performance potential. The concept can also convince with the many innovative details on and below deck. And: the chic interior design in the style of a French summer cottage inspires with a lot of cosiness and high quality.
