Easy to use fastener and good fit
The Ergofit series includes the top models from Crewsaver. The vest fastener and the spray cap have been improved on the newly added Plus versions. Two models with a lift of 190 and 290 Newtons are available in the Plus series. We tried the smaller vest, which corresponds to the 150 Newton class.

Tightening the straps and loosening them again is easy and without assistance
The elaborate harness is already noticeable when trying it on dry. It is easy to adjust and can easily be adjusted by the wearer himself. Although the vest is not lightweight at just under 1.8 kilograms, it is comfortable to wear. The mass is well distributed over the shoulders and the neck remains unencumbered. In the case of vests in the 150 Newton class, according to the standard, the fainting safety is not tested with oilskins. Due to the high buoyancy and the float reaching far forward, we had the hope that our fully clothed test subject would still be turned - but this was not the case without a supportive swell.

The buoyancy extends well over the chest. With oilskin, the vest did not turn our tester into a supine position

Once in the supine position, the vest convinces with a good swimming position and a good 15 centimeters freeboard, 10 to 16 centimeters are common in this class. The spray cap is easy to attach, two brackets provide headroom. The front fixing of the tarpaulin could be more solid so that the protective hood does not slip off in rough seas. Overall, the vest makes a very good impression. Judging by the equipment with spray cap and light and the harness, the price of 279 euros remains within reasonable limits. There are four out of five stars for this.
