The Italian designer Michele Molino designed the new Daysailer from Latitude 46 / Tofinou and is taking over the legacy of Michel Joubert (Joubert / Nivelt), who was previously responsible for all the designs of the independent Tofinou line. With the new design, Molino and the Latitude 46 shipyard want on the one hand to retain the typical look of the Tofinou brand with its strong character, but at the same time to supplement the concept with a whole host of new and innovative design features. This task is definitely not easy, but in the case of the Tofinou 9.7 it is done very skilfully.
The first ship of the new type has already left production in LRochelle and has been handed over to the new and happy owner. Just a few days later, the YACHT editorial team had the opportunity to thoroughly test the new Tofinou 9.7 in the bay of LBaule on the French west coast. The report will appear in one of the next issues. Until then there are the first photos from the test as a gallery below.

In the meantime, the shipyard has also completed the price list. The standard equipment of the Tofinou 9.7 costs 130,900 euros from the shipyard, including 19 percent VAT, but without the sail. Surcharges are also required for an electric motor from Torqeedo, for the carbon fiber mast as on the test ship and for a lifting keel (telescopic system) or a swivel keel option.
