1st International Ocean Film Tour 2018 - through the ice with Yvan Bourgnon

Once again, several short films will be shown as part of the International Ocean Film Tour, all of which are about the oceans, marine protection and water sports. 130 demonstrations are planned worldwide; the German premiere is on March, 15 in Hamburg. Once again, the program consists of visually stunning documentaries, the protagonists of which are windsurfers, marine conservationists, divers and, of course, sailors.

As a pure sailing film, "Ocean Rider" will be shown in 2018 - a 25-minute report on the spectacular circumnavigation of the world in the open sport catamaran of the Swiss extreme sailor Yvan Bourgnon (see YACHT 14/2015).

At the Ocean Film Tour 2017, the sailing film "The Weekend Sailor" caused enthusiasm among the audience. It was about the surprisingly victorious participation of a Mexican amateur crew in the first Whitbread Round the World Race, today's Volvo Ocean Race (see YACHT 5/2017).

The program of the Ocean Film Tour lasts around 120 minutes, plus a break. There are performances all over Germany, a ticket costs around 16 euros. Advance sales are already running: www.oceanfilmtour.com
