Jewelery with utility value: 25 tools are integrated into the bracelet
The bracelet called Tread from Leatherman, the manufacturer of multitools, looks like jewelry. Only at second glance does the observer recognize the various tools in each individual link of the bracelet. A total of 25 helpers are constant companions.
The multitool bracelet
These include eight different screwdrivers for both slotted and Phillips screws. There are also six Allen keys, five socket wrenches and a square to put nuts on. So far, however, only three of these keys are suitable for metric screws and nuts. A European variant should be available in the first half of 2016. There are also five more special tools: a SIM card mandrel, a glass breaker, a cutting hook, a square socket wrench for oxygen bottles and, last but not least, a bottle opener that is integrated into the cap. When using the tools, the bracelet serves as an extension and lever. Because there is no blade, according to the manufacturer, it can also be carried on the wrist on the plane.
The bracelet will be available in silver and black from the end of September. The silver version costs 200 euros and the black coated 260 euros.
