Dreaming of summer - together next Saturday
It's a peculiar mixture of family get-togethers, shoplifting, parties and lectures when every year fans of the elegant lines squeeze their way through the overcrowded Hamburg Ethnographic Museum to get a seat in the lecture hall, where they sit, listen, laugh and indulge.
Wilfried Horns, Spiritus Rector of the scene, manages to conjure up a full mixture of large pictures, moving and illuminating words, good music and small surprises every year. The museum's pantry, and not least the bar, do the rest. Anyone who has come here once will come back.
On Saturday, February 7th, at 7 p.m. it's that time again. The start of the classic year sounds when Horns picks up the microphone and leads through a colorful evening in his casual way. Topics include the "Classic Week 2014", regatta reviews and outlooks for the coming season, boat building and restoration. The musical theme of the evening is "Hafennacht".
The event is open to everyone, registration is not required, and entry is free.
