The renowned Finnish shipyard Nautor really got off to a flying start in 1974 with the Swan 65. Hull number 3 "SayulII" surprisingly won the Whitbread Round the World Race, the long-term forerunner of the Volvo Ocean Race. The Ketsch was the big serial boat of its time.
Now Nautor has brought a 65 again, a comparison suggests itself. What do the constructions by Sparkman & Stephens and Gérman Frers have in common, what distinguishes them, what has happened?
We sailed the new Swan 65. The exciting story of the first and the current Swan 65, now in the new YACHT. Issue 10 will be available from KIosk on May 2nd, but can also be ordered directly from the publisher or downloaded as a digital magazine
