Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise
The Hennevanger brothers from Saffier Yachts in Holland make their best Christmas present themselves. Shortly before the holidays, they immersed their youngest offspring, the Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise, in IJmuiden and tested them extensively.
We already presented the project and the concept in detail at YACHT online in July 2015. Essentially, the bustling Dutch have given their very first boat, the Saffier 6.50, a completely new and closed deck. For this purpose, the hull attachments have been redefined, the rig is larger and can also carry more sail area. And the new, trailerable boat has become significantly lighter. While the cute predecessor model weighed a total of 1250 kilograms, the new version weighs only 870 kilograms when ready to sail, less than originally calculated.
Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise
After the first test hits, Dennis Hennevanger was positively surprised by the very good sailing characteristics: "The new boat behaves excellently, especially in waves. And it sails very lively - no comparison to the old and rather sluggish 6.50."
The Saffier Sc 6.50 Cruise is offered in three versions:
- The standard ship for 29,500 euros (gross, ready to sail)
- Option 1: Sc 6.50 Cruise DS with a 10 HP built-in machine from Yanmar with saildrive and stainless steel fuel tank for 43,300 euros
- Option 2: Sc 650 Green Torqeedo with a built-in electric motor (Torqeedo 2.0 Cruise-Pod) with folding propeller, batteries, shore connection and charger for 40,460 euros
The Dutch company from Saffier Yachts is bringing the new Sc 6.50 Cruise as a world premiere to the boot trade fair in Düsseldorf. The exciting little boat can be seen there in Hall 15 at Stand D27. Until then, the Hennevangers have made the first photos of the test impact exclusively available to YACHT online.
