The bar is high. The predecessor set standards not only in terms of sales figures. Three years ago it also won the luxury yacht category at Europe's Yacht of the Year. The new, one meter smaller Grand Soleil 42 LC has also been nominated for this - which is why it took part in the tests a few weeks ago in Port Ginest, Spain.
The Mediterranean-style cruising yacht, designed by Marco Lostuzzi, presented itself as balanced, agile and well thought-out. Below deck, it hardly offers any restrictions to the 46 at first or second glance. The processing quality is high, even in inaccessible corners, the practical benefits are great. And if you are bothered by the towering bar in the cockpit, you can order the yacht without it. There is even a performance version on request.
Here are some first impressions from the test. The detailed report will follow shortly in the YACHT. We'll keep you up to date!
