Green is the color of hope - they say. The yacht builders from RM Yachts can now hope for a strong market presence with their latest litter, the RM 1180. The shipyard from Périgny near LRochelle has already painted the hull of hull number 1 in bright green to match. Don't worry: the coloring that takes getting used to is not the standard, there are also variants! The RM yacht builders now want to get started with a new owner and managing director and have converted and expanded their production for this purpose. RM can produce around 50 boats a year, and the order books are currently full. The special interest is currently the 1180.
The French have come up with some exciting innovations for the boat. As the most important change to the previous, tried and tested RM concept, the hulls are now only partially made of plywood. The side flanks of the multi-chine up to the first edge are made of GRP. The special shape of the construction by Mark Lombard with the freeboard, which is strongly retracted towards the deck, made this step necessary. The bulkheads, the hull reinforcements and the entire interior are still made of plywood. The RM 1180 is available in three versions with a fixed or swivel keel and rudder blades as well as a version with bi-keels and a rudder blade suitable for drying out.
