With the grill called 4Fire and the hexagon fire bowl, the German company Fennek offers a combination that is also interesting for sailors. Both are put together from individual parts and take up very little space when stowed.

The fire bowl is very useful for making a fire even without the grill
The fire bowl * consists of six side parts plus the bottom, which holds all the others in place. The grill rack consists of two parts, one with a wire rack and a plate on which fried eggs or omelettes can be prepared. Together with two feet, the 4Fire can also be used without a fire bowl; But this has the advantage that a fire can be made after grilling. In addition, the leftovers are easy to dispose of: put the fire bowl in shallow water and then throw the cold ash remains in the garbage bag.

The individual parts of the grill make a handy and pretty flat package
The stainless steel sheets were rubbed in the water with a handful of sand and were then clean again. This cleaning method is also an endurance test for the material, but the individual parts are completely rust-free. This is very practical because you don't have to take the greasy and sooty stainless steel sheets with you on the boat to rinse them off, but can do it with salt water on the beach. As part of a "tried out" in YACHT 18/2020, the grill received five out of five stars.
The grill area measures 24 x 52 centimeters, packed the 4Fire is only 24 x 28 x 2 centimeters. However, the grill and fire bowl weigh a lot due to the thick stainless steel sheets: the 4Fire weighs 3 kilograms, the hexagon 4 kilograms. The 4Fire Grill costs 69.79 euros (e.g. available from Amazon *) and the Hexagon fire bowl is available for 67.90 euros (e.g. from Amazon *).
