The openings are now also taking place in rapid succession in the Mediterranean. After Croatia has already opened the borders to owners and charter customers should also be able to enter shortly, Italy is now following suit. On Sunday evening it was announced that the country would be reopened to tourists on June 3rd, including owners and charter crews. And the Italians were one of the first countries to come up with a rather extensive, detailed concept of how sailors should behave. It is published on the website of the responsible ministry, unfortunately only in Italian so far. The main features are that only people from one household are allowed to spend the night in a cabin on board. If the charter guests do not come from the same household, the usual distance rules apply. How this should be observed on a charter yacht is not explained in more detail, but it is also not explicitly mentioned that only people from only one household are allowed on board.
For this it is clearly regulated that all crew members have to wear face masks during the handover of the charter yacht, in the port and especially during port maneuvers to protect the marina staff and crew members on the neighboring ships.
