Charter At Owner Level

Anyone who has often sailed on the standard yachts of the charter market will at some point get the longing to sail on one of the ships that are considered to be particularly high-quality. No furling sails, no bunk bombers, instead perfect boatbuilding, fixtures that don't groan and creak in the rough sea.

It doesn't have to remain a pipe dream, there are a number of providers who specialize in such niches. As a rule, these are very committed companies that keep their boats in excellent shape. You can also safely book an older ship. In addition, some conventional charter companies occasionally have one or two yachts in their program that are out of the ordinary in a positive sense. Most of these are owner ships that are used intensively privately and are only intended to mitigate the ancillary costs and the depreciation a little. Such boats are often very well maintained, but sometimes a bit out of date. The best thing to do is to ask an established charter agency how the rest of the provider's fleet is doing.
