Over 100 participant yachts
"106 yachts were registered, the KR yachts of the fifties and sixties, which shaped the sea regattas of the Kieler Woche at the time, but also boats over 100 years old," said the organizing Freundeskreis Classic Yachten. And further: "Contrary to the weather forecast, it was possible to sail well on both days of the race, on Friday it was sunny at 3 to 4 Beaufort during two short races. On Saturday for the long distance there was no continuous rain, demanding wind conditions and beautiful waves dominated."
