"Marlin" during the first blows with the new owners
In the new edition of YACHT (issue 24/2013, now at the kiosk) skipper Michael Wnuk presents the "Marlin" in detail. He also tells how the decision, which was surprising even for the family, came about to part with the old "Iron Lady". The crew had last sailed around South America with this, and it was actually supposed to go further north from Chile through the Panama Canal into the Caribbean. But then suddenly a prospective buyer was found, and everything turned out very differently.
The new ship was bought by Müller-Wnuks in Suriname, a small state east of Venezuela. They discovered it through a used boat exchange on the Internet. After the takeover, the family not only had to put a lot of work into the new home, the ship should also be given a different name.
Filmmakers friends of the Müller-Wnuks recorded the baptism and the first blows at sea in a short video.
