About a year ago, the production of Germany's smallest large-scale boat was discontinued. The Judel / Vrolijk construction was built 299 times, initially at the old Dehler site in Freienohl. After the shipyard moved to Greifswald, the lamination work was carried out in Poland.
Bernd Cwielong from Leipzig, interior designer and former Varianta dealer, has now acquired molds and rights and will continue to build the boat. At the renowned Polar Shipyard in Estonia, the molds are just on their way there. The boat will be completed in Germany and will also be equipped with local sails. "We want to stay under 15,000 euros including taxes for the sailable boat, if everything goes well," announces the new Varianta boss Cwielong, who also wants to supply the existing fleet with spare parts.
