The 45-foot class is very popular right now. When fully occupied, the boats can be chartered quite cheaply, they are easy to operate without a paid skipper, and with drafts of around two meters they are already in good working order. The boats offer space in four to five cabins, additional equipment such as a watermaker and generator can be easily accommodated, and their size makes them suitable for blue water. In this respect, yachts of this size class are interesting and popular for owners and charter companies. The shipyards even report that there are relatively many newcomers who start at 45 feet.
An occasion for a large comparison test. It not only assesses the three types BavariC45, Beneteau's Oceanis 46.1 and the Hanse 458, but is also a general exhibition of the shipyards.
