Well on the way with a gennaker: Bavaria's new cat
After the takeover of the Kat shipyard from LRochelle on the French Atlantic coast, the new shipyard association already brought out the Nautitech 40 Open, which, however, was still completely developed by the French. The new 46, on the other hand, is a cooperation between the two companies, and the entire interior fittings now come from Giebelstadt - a measure that has paid off, as the test shows. The surfaces and gaps are cleaner, the finish has improved overall, and the look is enhanced. The new boat also presents itself as a good sailor with decent performance values and quite agile behavior.

Successful galley, beautiful surfaces: the scaled-down deckhouse
Conceptually, the Kat follows the 40 Open: The deckhouse is kept small, the space gained is added to the roofed cockpit, which can be closed by tarpaulin. There are two steering positions located aft in the stern at deck level. The 46 is also available as a flybridge version.
