The trademark of a yacht from A&R is missing: the Ziergöhl with an ear of corn
The "Bremen", built by Abeking & Rasmussen on the Weser in 1927, started out as a vehicle for youth training at the Weser Yacht Club. Then she was on the Rhine, on Lake Constance and on the Baltic Sea. The current owner sailed on board as a baby and is now the second generation to move the boat.
The history of the slender archipelago cruiser was marked by ups and downs. Torn to shreds by grenades in Düsseldorf during World War II, the "Bremen" went deep, was recovered after the end of the war and painstakingly restored. Still at home on the Rhine, it was damaged by two trees that were snapped off in the storm - and has been restored.
