The Jolli was built in the 1930s at the Heidtmann shipyard in Hamburg and served as a training ship for the Navy, later it sailed in private hands on the Außenems and in the North Sea - a confidence-building history for the new owner, who was looking for a boat for the Müritz. The aim of the modifications was to increase comfort on board as well as safety, but not at the expense of sailing characteristics and speed.
