Even if the case still looks like new - the area directly behind the shackle is often affected. Because there the rope works on the drop disc when sailing or also rubs at the exit. The danger here, even if the coat of a Dyneema case hardly bears any load: As soon as it tears, the remains could bulge up and jam in the case disc when lowering.
