Crewsaver has further developed its top model with the Ergofit +. Many components were changed and additional safety equipment was integrated.
Shell
The life jacket has a new cover that is supposed to be more comfortable and lighter. In addition, there is only one soft ring, which should make picking more intuitive. However, due to this arrangement, the fastener has to withstand a lot of load, so a belt buckle from the aviation industry was used.

In addition, the spray cap has been redesigned. By better adapting to the buoyancy body, it should protect the person in the water more effectively from spray and spray water penetrating the respiratory tract. The stability was improved by struts, so the spray cap should protect without disturbing. This is what the manufacturer calls the double halo spray hood system.

Emergency transmitter
Crewsaver worked together with Exposure Marine on the revision of the Ergofit + and attached a pocket in the neck area in which the OLAS tag fits. The system triggers an alarm in the event of MOB.

The Ergofit + is available with a buoyancy of 190 and 290 Newtons. In addition, two different trigger systems are possible: on the one hand the usual automatic, which triggers on contact with water, and a Hammar system, which is activated by the pressure increase when submerged. The latter is useful, for example, for the foredeck crew on regatta yachts, which would often accidentally trigger the normal automatic at this particularly wet workplace.
Prices: Ergofit + 190N (automatic) 279 euros, Ergofit + 190N (Hammar) 299 euros. And Ergofit + 290 (automatic) 359 euros, Ergofit + 290 (Hammar) 379 euros.
