Stranded yacht in front of Heiligenhafen
Two sailors were lucky in misfortune yesterday at noon, whose trip came to an abrupt end on the beach at Heiligenhafen. Your yacht ran aground in front of the resort's holiday center.
Shortly before 12 noon, the crew reported technical problems to the Bremen Sea Emergency Management of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS). The volunteer crew of the rescue boat "Heiligenhafen" ran out immediately. But that didn't help. In unsettled weather, both anchors of the yacht failed near the coast. Soon after, the sailboat hit the ground and was beached by the surf.
Fortunately, the sailors came ashore unharmed and with almost dry feet. The towline of the "Heiligenhafen" was brought ashore by DLRG helpers in a rubber dinghy. In this way, the sea rescuers were finally able to free the yacht from its predicament and bring it safely to port.
