The port of Mönkeberg in the Kiel Fjord has got a new outer pier
There is a lot that is new in the Area report from the German Baltic Sea coast: The mega construction sites in Travemünde and Olpenitz are making great strides, and completely new, attractive harbors such as the water hiking rest area in Sellin are almost completed. We tell you where you can find new berths and show the state of affairs with fresh pictures of the coast - and also report where it is still noisy and uncomfortable due to construction work. This includes a lot of detail improvement: outdated sanitary facilities, new restaurants or clever service ideas like those of Sporthafen Kiel GmbH in cooperation with Edeka. In a pilot project in Stickenhörn, they are now offering sailors an original shopping service that supplies sailors directly in the port.
