The Norddeutsche RegattVerein is sailing for the fourth time in the Bundesliga after 2013, 2014 and 2017 on course for the title. The Hamburg team was once again able to keep the competition at bay at the weekend with helmsman Florian Haufe, David and Dorian Heitzig and Miklas Meyer and win the Berlin League Summit for themselves and their club. For the NRV team it was the third of four possible victories this season.

The winners of the first division summit in Berlin celebrate here

With just 11 points, the Hanseatic League is at the top of the table for the first division. In second place, the Wuerttemberg Yacht Club (WYC), which won fourth place on the Wannsee, is 19 points behind so clearly that not only WYC sailor Dennis Mehlig stated: “It is impressive how strong the NRV is and holds on to the top without any major peculiarities. Nothing stands in the way of the championship.”Once again, NRV Club and Bundesliga team manager Klaus Lahme has shown a“golden hand”in the line-up of the Bundesliga team. In third place in the table after four long league weekends is the Bavarian Yacht Club (22 points), which took third place on the podium behind the Düsseldorf Yacht Club on the Wannsee.

Hamburg sailors also dominate the 2nd Bundesliga: The team from the Mühlenberger Segel-Club (MSC) with Magnus Simon, Till Krüger, Max Holthausen and Ole von Studnitz won the league for the second time and with a total of only 7 points. Account for an impressive tour in front of the Schlei Sailing Club (16 points) and the 1903 Sailing Association (18 points), which also took the podium in the capital in reverse order. The MSC happily reported on its Facebook page: “After a great event with 16 thrilling races in more than challenging conditions, we not only won the Berlin event, but also secured our early promotion at the same time. At our fifth and last event in Kiel we want to celebrate a nice end of the season and ideally take the trophy home with us."
