Undoubtedly a star plagiarism, only with tilting keel technology. Can that go well?
The star boat, an old box? No way: An Italian has now ordered a 33-foot daysailer from LucBrentYacht Design. Unmistakable design template: the star boat. The owner, himself a passionate sailor in the still Olympic boat class, wants to go sailing with his loved one at the same time and in the evening, but does not want to forego his beloved "star feeling".
The "Superstar", as the project is called, is also given a thin and very flexible mast with back and lower backstays attached to the sides, in line with its well-known template. Only in this case the "palm" is made of carbon fiber. There is also an extremely long large tree that protrudes significantly at the rear. Without a doubt, every jibing maneuver in strong winds becomes an adventure with a surprise effect.

A small self-tacking jib is used to sail to the huge mainsail; The owner would still like to do without a spinnaker or gennaker. Under water, however, there is not much left of the classic star boat. A slim tilting keel with hydraulic drive ensures the righting moment. The keel is only inclined by a maximum of 30 degrees. So the fin still produces enough buoyancy, additional swords are not required.
The "Superstar" is currently being built in the Galetti shipyard in Sirmione on Lake Garda. Only high-quality carbon fiber compounds are used for processing. The "Superstar" will be almost ten meters long and should weigh just 1.65 tons when ready to sail. In August of this year, the special ship is to be handed over to its owner.
