The 5.5 "Fram II" was built in 1959 for today's King of Norway
The 5.5ers return to the Kieler Woche after a long time. Together with the twelve they will sail on the inner fjord next Sunday and Monday for the »12 mR and 5.5 mR Kieler Woche Trophy«. According to the tender, six races are planned on the inner fjord, right in front of the eyes of the onlookers at Kiel Week.
Continued success
The organizers are building on the great success of the Kieler Woche races, which were held for the first time last year among the classic 12 mR yachts. They formed the prelude to a whole series of top-class events for these racing yachts, which are currently experiencing a renaissance on the Baltic Sea.

Rendezvous of the most beautiful
Classics at the Kieler Woche, but this has already been a tradition since the Freundeskreis Classic Yachten organized the rendezvous for the classics. This is now a three-day event and starts on Thursday evening in Schleimünde. Friday it's off on the long haul to Kiel, where the British Kiel Yacht Club - for the last time this year - invites you to a barbecue. Finally, on Saturday, several races will be started before the fleet moored at the Kiel Yacht Club.
