The new Dafne 24
According to legend, Dafne should be made of laurel wood. But the shipyard allows itself a little leeway with the name, and it also does the same with the building materials. And relies on sapeli mahogany. Planked in strips and glued with epoxy, covered with glass fabric and garnished with a high-quality teak deck - the Italian shipyard not only relies on a symbiosis of old and new when building the boat.

The crack also combines old virtues and new trends, as is currently fashionable. It remains to be seen whether the angular sail plan fits the slender lines. In any case, the wooden bowsprit pulls everything out again. Because the Dafne 24 is above all a boat to be enjoyed. At 7.30 meters in length, it is quite heavy with a ton, especially since you will look in vain for fittings on the daysailer; below deck, the only thing you can see is a hull, which is clear-coated on the inside.

The variable draft is interesting. With a lifting keel that combines 40 percent of the total weight, even shallow areas can be opened up. The fin swings up from 1.86 meters water depth to only 0.78 meters - enough even for shallow inland lakes.
