Clear sport orientation: open stern and huge cockpit

At the Hanseboot trade fair in Hamburg, it is undoubtedly one of the exotic ones. No boat in the yacht hall A1 is more sporty, no boat attracts real regatta freaks to the stand. The Archambault M-34 has been the official standard boat of the Tour de France là Voile since this year, one of the most traditional and highly regarded regatta series in France. 17 teams made it to the start of the stage race in 2011, including a team from Germany under skipper Sönke Bruhns with the "Iskareen". This boat is now also at the fair.

The concept of the M-34 focuses only and exclusively on high-performance team sports. The boat has no claim to comfort and touring comfort. The 10.34 and 2.98 meter wide boat is built entirely as a GRP sandwich construction using the infusion process with epoxy resins. Accordingly, the ready-to-sail boat weighs just 2700 kilograms with a ballast content of 39 percent (1050 kilograms). The slim T-keel goes down to 2.50 meters, but can be reduced to 1.80 using a spindle drive. The carbon fiber mast can also be divided for easy transport on the road.
