Off to new shores: Helmut Adwiraah and Sönke Roever
From January to March 2006, Sönke Roever and Helmut Adwiraah will hold nine picture lectures in northern German cities. In the summer of 2004, the two young men had sailed around the Baltic Sea for six months.
During the more than 3500 mile trip, the two-person crew gained impressions from nine Baltic Sea countries (see also the travel article in YACHT 22/2004). "The five most beautiful months of our lives are undoubtedly behind us", sums up Roever at the end of his book "Time Out under Sailing - A Summer on the Baltic Sea". "It was worth swapping the main auditorium and office chair for the cockpit bench." The book is very well received: in the meantime, three months after the publication of the travelogue for the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2005, it is already enjoying its second edition.
Interested parties can now relive the trip in a lecture.
