Sporty: the new Waarschip 700D under gennaker
In order to breathe life into it, the shipyard has priced the ship in an exciting way. For around 60,000 euros, the ambitious regatta sailor can get a ready-made racer with a spinnaker, laminate sails, maxi displays on the mast and a trailer. Interesting for racing sailors: The ORC GPH racing value is given as 680. So it is, at least theoretically, in the range of the J 80. But it is a meter longer. The weight (1150 kg) and sail area (upwind 32.4 square meters) also qualify the Waarschip as a racer with 5.4. So on paper, the new one is pretty fast on the move.

On the water she still has to show what she can do. The description ends quickly below deck: there is the possibility of four people staying overnight. There is no more to be said. But it doesn't have to, after all, races should be held here. A vacation trip with the family is not the goal of the seven-meter boat due to the concept. If you have cruising and racing in mind, you have to wait for the new TienTien, the 10.10 meter long big sister. It is also currently being redesigned and will appear shortly.
Things had become quiet around the shipyard in Farmsum on the Ems estuary in the Netherlands: bankruptcies and a dispute over trademark rights resulted in radio silence. That has now all been resolved, the shipyard is manufacturing again. Unlike in the past, no more kits, just finished ships. D should ensure constant quality.
