On Saturday at 1 p.m., the starting signal for the sailing highlight of this year will be given. The 470s and Ynglings will open the Olympic Sailing Games. For sailing fans there is once again the risk of not being adequately served by television. Traditionally, the sailors get lost in the chaos of the Olympic news.
So there is no information from the television stations as to when reports will be made by the railways. Experience has shown that there are only switches when German successes become apparent. So that would at most amount to the final days on August 21, 22, 25, 26 and 28. As soon as YACHT-online receives information about broadcast times, it will be published here.
It is always safer to trust the Internet. The buoy rounding is shown live for the first time on the ISAF homepage at www.sailing.org/olympics2004. The World Sailing Association also offers news in English about the sailing games.
The YACHT online special will mainly deal with the German team, but at the same time collect all kinds of sailing news in Athens.
