"Dorade", winner according to the calculated time of the Transpac 2013
In the end, the clock stopped after 12 days, 5 hours, 23 minutes and 18 seconds. This time was enough for the 85-year-old "Dorade" to triumph over this year's entire Transpac fleet. 58 yachts - from classics to high-tech offshore racers - took part in this year's 2225-mile race.

"Raggamuffin", fastest yacht at Transpac 2013
The fastest yacht was only half as long as "Dorade": After 6 days, 8 hours, 17 minutes and 26 seconds, the Australian "Ragamuffin" had crossed the finish line. Against the Elliott 100 type racer, the 30 foot smaller VOR 70 "Maserati" had no chance. The boat with skipper Giovanni Soldini, on which the German sailing professional Boris Herrmann was also on board, was at least able to keep the American "Wizard" (R / P 74) in check. "Maserati" finished second in the group. In the end, however, it was only enough for fifth place in division 1 and 31st overall.
The "Varuna" of the Hamburg owner Jens Kellinghusen was a bit better. His Ker 51, built by Knierim in Kiel in 2012, came in fourth in Division 4 and thus took an impressive 23rd place in the overall ranking.
