A few days ago, Tornado helmsman Roland Gäbler said: "A place among the top ten would be a sensation". This may no longer exist. the duo is in eleventh place after eight of eleven races.

The German weather advisor Meeno Schrader was right. Contrary to the official organizer forecast, which had predicted strong Meltemi, Schraden was certain that there would be another battle between the sea breeze and Meltemi and, as often before, only weak winds as a result. Both tornado races were completed at just five to eight knots.

It was a failed day for Roland Gäbler and Gunnar Struckmann. In the first race they were now sixth, at the finish ninth. In the second they were on the penultimate, 15th place after the start cross, at the finish they were 13th. In the overall classification they lost another place and are now eleventh. The hole for the "sensational" tenth place is seven points.

At the top are the Austrians Hagara / Steinacher (26 points), followed by Lovell / Ogletree (USA, 33) and Bundock / Forbes (AUS, 37).
