The 94th Flensburg Funding Week begins tomorrow, Saturday. At the traditional end of the season in the north (until September 18), the Flensburg Sailing Club is expecting around 200 yachts and more than 1000 sailors.

As always, the field is top-class: With the "L + M Hispaniola" from Horst Mann (YCS), the "Lollipopp" from Elke and Jan Hinrichs (SLRV) and the "No Limits" from Lars and Sven Christensen (KYC / Segelsportfreunde Flensburg Harrislee, SSFH), along with many other well-known names, have registered all champions of this year's German championship sea sailing. Otherwise the unit classes dominate. This year with Beneteau 25, Int. 806er, J-80, X-79, X-99, the sport boat class, the folk boats and the catamarans of the Catamaran Club Flensburg Fjord (CCFF). The J-80s will sail their first ever German Open as part of the funding week and the catamarans will sail their "Catamaran Cup" last weekend. The Sach brothers from Travemünde have announced themselves for the Formula 18 Kats and the senior world champion Jens Goritz is at the start for the Hobies

The “Swan Baltic SeChallenge”, for which 20 Nautor yachts have registered, will take place for the 10th time as part of the funding week.

On Friday and Saturday, the promotion week ends with two long-distance regattas - including the coveted special ratings for the fastest yacht based on the Flensburg Fjord (“Blue Ribbon”) and the “Blue-Yellow Ribbon” for the fastest foreign yacht.

It goes without saying that the week also has a lot of attractions in store for the country program. More information at www.fsc.de/foerdewoche/
