At the weekend, the Duisburg inner harbor is all about water sports. One of the highlights: the sailing competition of the Topcat world championship duo Bernd Breymann and AntoniBuchholz as well as the best German tandem surfers Tobias Schenk and Kai Abel.
It starts tomorrow, Thursday at 3 p.m. Then it says "two runners against two sails". It is eagerly awaited which duo is faster.
Interested visitors can also get to know different models of the Topcat catamarans from 11 a.m. Under the expert guidance of top sailors, you can experience the feeling of spectacular catamaran sailing in Duisburg's inner harbor up close.
Further program highlights: Two original Venetian gondolas with gondoliers glide with guests over the inner harbor on June 15 from 12 to 8 p.m. The focus of the harbor festival is of course the largest dragon boat fun regatta in Germany with 170 teams and 3,500 participants in unusual costumes. MarinDuisburg also invites you to an "open day" every day.
The crowning glory this year will be a musical fireworks display that will be launched from a work ship lying in the Holzhafen. A combination of music and lights that move will mesmerize the visitor for 15 minutes.
