America's Cup sailors Jochen Schümann, Jesper Bank and Tim Kröger, together with other members of their teams, will be sailing matchraces with model boats in the "Blue Holiday World" in Hall 13 on Tuesday at 12:30. There will also be other promotions on this America's Cup day at the stands of the United Internet Team Germany, BMW Oracle Racing and Shosholoza teams.
Ellen MacArthur, one-handed heroine and record hunter, will be a guest in the Sailing Center, Hall 17 at 4 p.m. on this day. There she and extreme sailor Alex Thomson (Hugo Boss-Skipper) present the BarcelonWorld Race - a new race around the world. For the first time, the best professional sailors in the world (single-handed and crew sailors) will come together on the "round the world route" around the infamous capes in a completely new discipline to compete against each other as a two-man crew. Ahead of them lie 25,000 nautical miles with storms and calm. For three months they will be sailing with their modern 60-foot monuhulls (IMOCA). The start is November 11, 2007 in Barcelona.
