The DVD cover
Under the title "DGzRS - Sicherheit auf See", the Austrian REFILM has published a documentary report about the work of the German Rescue Society (DGzRS) on a DVD in 16: 9 format, which is now available at a price of 12.90 euros including a benefit of 2.50 euros for the rescue work.
For three days in the summer of 2006, the filmmakers from Vienna researched and shot at the Maasholm on the Schlei and Langballigau stations at the exit of the Flensburg Fjord to document the often dangerous and lifesaving work of the rescue men in the North and Baltic Seas. Particular attention was paid to the topic of "safety at sea, especially for sport fishermen".
In exciting and rarely shown images, the viewer gains an impression of the high-performance technology of ultra-modern rescue cruisers and lifeboats. Experienced and motivated rescue men report on their work and explain their extensive equipment. Using exercise scenarios, various sea emergencies from the field of sport fishing are shown, as the men of the DGzRS have often experienced and successfully mastered.
The location of the report is initially the rescue cruiser "Nis Randers", on which, among other things, the powerful navigation and communication devices, the fire extinguishing system and the operation of the daughter boat "Onkel Willi" are presented. On board the rescue boat "Werner Kuntze", various sea emergencies for anglers will be simulated in a practical way, the possibilities of initial and further medical treatment will be shown and safety tips will be given in the field of equipment for sport fishermen.
The DVD "DGzRS - Sicherheit auf See", playing time around 45 minutes, can be obtained from the Anglerboard, the largest internet platform for sport fishermen in Europe.
