Sonwik Marinin Flensburg
In terms of sailing, the Sonwiker Harbor Festival from June 29th to July 1st this year has two highlights to offer. The third Musto Double Hand Challenge, the challenge for two-person crews, starts on Friday at around 7 p.m. A regatt through the night that is becoming increasingly popular with many sailors (www.double-hand-challenge.de).
Watching is nice, sailing is everything, is the motto of the BMW Sailing Cup. The attractive amateur sailing series from BMW Yachtsport will be held on the Flensburg Fjord right in front of the Sonwik. The regatta mode is designed so that 64 experienced amateurs can test their skills in short fleet races, regardless of whether you want to sail as a skipper or as a crew member. In 2007 the BMW Sailing Cup will be sailed at 14 locations across Germany. BMW invites the winners of the qualification regattas to the national finals in Hamburg from October 26th to 28th, 2007 - the winners of the state finals then qualify for the world finals.
The BMW Sailing Cup will be sailed on standard boats of the Bénéteau First Class 7.5 type with crews of four people. Messages are of course still accepted for both events.
The visitor is again offered a lot of variety. The DGzRS performs spectacular rescue maneuvers on the fjord and the canoe polo tournament on the water promises a lot of excitement. If the weather cooperates, as it did last year, pedal boating becomes a pleasure. The large children's mile awaits with the playmobile from Sparkasse Flensburg, a bouncy castle and a trampoline. The stage with a fashion show, lots of music and a festive promenade where visitors can indulge in culinary specialties completes the extensive entertainment program in Sonwik
The Sonwik used boat trade is a premiere at the Hafenfest. Especially for this purpose there is a separate jetty for the yachts for sale. Owners can contact Sonwik Hafen GmbH at any time to take advantage of this offer. Supplemented by several maritime trades, as well as the engine manufacturer Yanmar, water sports enthusiasts can find out more.
One of the highlights will be the big fireworks on Saturday evening, which can be admired far beyond the borders of the Marinhinaus in Flensburg. A thank you from Sonwik to the people of Flensburg and visitors to the 2007 Harbor Festival.
